Bonjour! I've just found out about this lovely initiative to connect with fellow epicureans, hence this post. :-) I'm a 39-year-old Frenchman living in The Hague with immense love for good food, cooking and wine and would delight in meeting you. This could be one of 3 possibilities (which can overlap):

1. a cooking club (at one of our homes). For this, it would be highly preferable that you have at least an above-average level in home cooking (techniques) and have a keen interest in food (cookbooks, etc.) and some familiarity with one or more cuisines and its dishes/profiles.

2. a wine group: I am an oenophile, so if you resonate with that and have at least an above-average knowledge of varieties/terroirs/profiles, I would very much enjoy getting together in or out for tastings where we can share our insights about the wines we are having.

3. Fine dining: I also love fine dining (e.g. Michelin-starred restaurants) and have done so extensively here and overseas. So, if you, too, have a keen interest and familiarity with such dining experiences and approach it with some culinary interest in how such dishes are for example composed/ chef's cooking styles, we could definitely do so together.

And since this is a social experience after all :-) , it is pertinent for you to learn about who I am and what I enjoy (in addition to food and wine) to have an idea of our potential affinities. I highly appreciate the arts and culture (art cinema, classical music, literature, philosophy, paintings, dance performances). An interest in one or more of those domains would certainly lubricate our friendship. Finally, I would have no problem at all if you live in the Randstad or even further away (distances are relative and manageable in our lovely Netherlands). :-)
